Introducing the FireCracker!
Based on Analog Devices popular
Blackfin
embedded processor, Silica has developed the FireCracker Development and Reference Design Platform for audio and video applications.
FireCracker is a unique concept of a hybrid between a development board and a reference design that enables design engineers to bring embedded computing solutions from concept to production in record time.

FIR and IIR Filter Design Algorithms
Several Matlab programs are available for the design of digital filters by several different approaches.
After down loading the software, move the program file to a new, empty directory.
Then uncompress the file using the unix command 'uncompress' (e.g., 'uncompress butter.tar.Z') and unpack the archive using the UNIX command 'tar' (e.g., 'tar xvf butter.tar').

CMSA Filter Designer
This tool allows the user to select parameters for a digital filter and draws the frequency response, on a linear graph or decibel graph, online.
Currently, the possible filters that can be drawn include Chebyshev Type I and Type II, Butterworth, and FIR.

Designing Digital Filters with NI LabVIEW and the Digital Filter Design Toolkit
Engineers and educators involved in design and test should view this 45-minute Web Event on Demand video to learn how to interactively design and implement digital filters by working with NI LabVIEW and the Digital Filter Design Toolkit.
With these software packages, you have tools to rapidly design FIR and IIR digital filters for both floating and fixed point implementations.
This presentation gives background on digital filters and then...
