Is UPnP Plugging Jini's Bottle?
Jini technology came out with a bang in 1999. Jini was Bill Joy's baby, loosely inspired by the work of David Gelernter and others in the Yale Linda group and built on some of the great technology created by Jim Waldo, Ken Arnold, Ann Wollrath and others at Sun. The idea: provide a framework that allows loosely connected devices and services to find each other and work together.
